Cat Ba National Park – Viet Hai Village Fullday Trekking

Hikers can enter the forest early in the morning-probably in a small group-this is the best time to feel the forest with eyes, ears and the whole body. Along the trails, squirrels, civets and monkeys can be seen. A patient hiker might even catch a glimpse of monitors, geckos, porcupines and various types of snakes along the trails.

7.30am-8.00am: Take a private car or public bus to the National Park. From the head-quarter, pass through the primary and limestone mountain forests.

10am -10.30am: Take a short break at Frog Pond( a wet-land on limestone, 80m above the sea level). From Frog pond, keep walking along the main path to the next stop – Viet Hai commune – a traditional settlement within the Park. 12.30-1.00pm: Have lunch. After lunch, it is time for visitors to enjoy a peaceful surrounding, mixing with the simple life of local residents or playing with hundreds Doctor Fish as a Spa treatment.

2.00pm: Cycling or taking mini bus(optional) to the villages dock.

2.30pm: Pick up by boat can be arranged to Lan Ha bay. From sundeck, enjoy the beauty of Lan Ha bay which is formed by hundreds of wonderful limestone islands and islets with different sizes and shapes.

3.00pm: Kayaks are provided to get close to the rock formation or just relaxing on the beach with stunning view, have a swim in clear water of Lan Ha bay in order to refresh after the long trek.

4.30pm: Heading back to Beo port while sailing through Cai Beo fishing village. Learn about the local life floating over the centuries at The Gulf of Tonkin.

5.00pm: Bus back to the Centre. Tour ends.
