Cat Ba town-Hospital cave-Trung Trang cave-Ngu Lam peak

1. Hospital Cave

In the American war, this cave was called Quan Y cave because since the 1960s, it became a modern hospital. Quan Y cave is a masterpiece in the structure of a military hospital, the pride of not only Cat Ba’s residents but also Vietnamese. Up to now, when the hospital was moved, the historical values and it’s facilities still exist. The cave’s about 8km from Cat Ba town.

2. Trung Trang cave

On the island’s crossing road, 12km from town. It is in the largest valley of Cat Ba, lower than the sea level from 10m to 30m. Trung Trang cave has 300 meters length through mountains, a natural cave created by heaven over two thousand years of history. Having hundreds of natural stalacties and stalagmites with unique shapes, the cave makes people associated with the image of fairy.

3. Ngu Lam peak – Cat Ba National park

2km from the main gate of National park’s headquarter, Ngu Lam peak is at an altitude of 225m. Subdue the nature, on the top, visitors can enjoy the scenery of the tropical karst forest and the sea beyond.

Itinerary:

8.00am or 1.00pm

Start from the town by private car or motorbike(with drivers) ride through the main road to Cat Ba national park. From the foot of mountain, go up the rocky steps, immersing in tropical moist evergreen forest, get fresh air and relax with spectacular view on Ngu Lam peak.

10.30am or 3.30pm

On the way back to Cat Ba town, stop by Trung Trang cave and Hospital cave to learn about the community of caves and caverns as well as the contribution for sightseeing, educational, scientific and adventure tourism.

11.45am or 5.00pm: Tour ends
